August 31 – A Night for Bats at the LIPU CHM Oasis in Ostia
On August 31, we invite you to the LIPU CHM Oasis in Ostia for a special event born from the collaboration between Tutela Pipistrelli APS and LIPU.
A union of skills and dedication with one shared goal: to return freedom to bats that, after being found in difficulty, have been cared for and rehabilitated with patience and expertise.
During the evening, you will have the chance to attend an educational talk led by experts from both organizations. We will explore who bats really are, their vital role in ecosystems, the threats they face, and the simple ways we can all help protect them.
It will be a moment to dispel myths, answer questions, and see these amazing flying mammals in a new light.
The highlight of the evening will be the release of several bats rehabilitated by Tutela Pipistrelli, including individuals coming from the LIPU Rome Wildlife Rescue Centre (CRFS). Watching them take flight under the starry sky will be an unforgettable experience, a symbol of commitment and true teamwork for wildlife protection.
This event is part of the International Bat Night, a worldwide initiative promoted by EUROBATS, which each year brings together dozens of countries to raise awareness and appreciation for bats and their conservation.
A not-to-be-missed evening for nature lovers, families, enthusiasts, and the simply curious – a night where science, emotion, and the beauty of freedom meet.
31 agosto – Una notte per i pipistrelli all’Oasi Lipu CHM di Ostia
Il 31 agosto vi aspettiamo all’Oasi Lipu CHM di Ostia per un evento speciale nato dalla collaborazione tra Tutela Pipistrelli APS e la LIPU.
Un’unione di forze e competenze per un obiettivo comune: restituire la libertà a pipistrelli che, dopo essere stati trovati in difficoltà, sono stati curati e riabilitati con dedizione.
Durante la serata avrete l’occasione di partecipare a un incontro educativo condotto dagli esperti delle due associazioni: parleremo di chi sono davvero i pipistrelli, del loro ruolo fondamentale negli ecosistemi, delle minacce che affrontano e delle buone pratiche per proteggerli.
Un momento per sfatare miti, rispondere alle curiosità e avvicinarsi a questi straordinari mammiferi alati con occhi nuovi.
Inoltre ci sarà il momento della liberazione di alcuni individui riabilitati da Tutela Pipistrelli, tra cui anche esemplari provenienti dal Centro Recupero Fauna Selvatica della LIPU di Roma. Vederli tornare a volare sotto il cielo stellato sarà un’emozione unica, simbolo di impegno e collaborazione concreta per la tutela della fauna.
L’evento è inserito nel programma dell’International Bat Night, il grande appuntamento internazionale promosso da EUROBATS che ogni anno coinvolge decine di Paesi per far conoscere, apprezzare e proteggere i pipistrelli.
