The 7th Sicilia Bat Night, with a typically informal approach without compromising on scientific rigour, will be divided into a theoretical and a field part.
An overview of the environment in which troglofile bats live, their biology, ecology, and conservation, their anatomical and immunological characteristics as well as their bio-acoustic techniques, will be the subject of the theoretical part.
The bio-acoustic aspects covered will be preparatory to the field activity that will be developed with a bat-walking session, in other words a short evening walk to listen to the ultrasound emissions of bats with the aid of specific instruments.
