Bat Night in “Pomorie lake” Visitor Center

Together with fifth grade students from “Ivan Vazov” Preliminary school and their teacher Mrs. Antonina Ichkova we had a walk alongside the coast of Pomorie Lake and were having discussions about bats.
In the Visitor Center the students were able to see bats’ exhibition, photo exhibition about Naturа 2000 ecological network and informational banners about bats. Curious facts about the secret wildlife of the protected species were presented by Green Balkans’ team. The students had the chance to touch a real caver helmet, by which a lot of bats have been studied not only in our country, but also in other parts of the world. They were glad to know why we eavesdrop the bats, and at the end “flew” as bats posing for the photos.
Useful educational materials (like posters, leaflets and stickers) were left on Mrs. Ichkova disposal and her students.
