Workshop Building up batboxes by citizens (mainly families
Following Circular Economy principles, the municipal woodwork service took chance of furniture left on Punto Limpio (Green deposition Point for all residues to treated) and provided us with treated a cut slices of wood to be used for batboxes.
On August, 28th workshop, families, or single adults will assamble the pieces (stick an nail woodpieces pretreated and precut), while children will "decorate" them showing bat icon, or love symbol, or "Bat home", or "Pinto batbox" (you know usually this batbox "decoration" is minimal).
After that, all the batboxes will be places all along Pinto green areas. Pinto has 27m2 of green area for inhabitant, which is quite important ratio. 6 of them being important, big parks to be covered. There will be still small parks (quarter ones) which will be set up to a 2nd batboxes building chance. All the parks have bats to be hosted. Expected quantity of batboxes to be built are 35-40, total
On location there will be a exposition of Banners (provided by SECEMU) about Bats life and special caracteristics.
