International Bat night 2021 - Devil's Throat Cave
This year, Science for Nature Foundation will celebrate the 25th International Bat Night in front of one of the most famous caves in Bulgaria - the Devil's Throat.
This cave is an important winter roost for the largest bat colony in Bulgaria.
At the event you will find out:
- why we call bats superheroes;
- what is their role in ecosystems;
- what threats they face;
- what we do to protect them.
Come and take pictures with our themed models and see what bat house looks like! :)
You can find us in front of the Devil's Throat on August 28 and 29 from 10:00 to 17:00.

The Foundation is working on the project "Bats and men - sharing LIFE under one roof" in order to improve the conservation status of 9 species of bats in Southern Bulgaria.
