Släck ditt uteljus för en fladdermus (Turn out your light for a bat)
The Hallaröd area is very rich in bat species – 18 of 19 Swedish species have been observed in recent years, including 11 red-listed species. Yet the populations are threatened by exploitation in the form of plans for a high speed train line next to the Natura2000 area but also by general light pollution in the environment. The villagers will hold a manifestation for the threatened bat species by turning out their external lighting, and have a social gathering. There will be information about how to support the local bats and about the plans for the train line and resistance against it. People will also be acquainted with bat detectors.
