Nine educational bat night walks will be held during the whole of August 2020, lead by six bat experts as follows: 6/7th of August at the time of Nature Festival in Tartu (lead by Lauri Lutsar); 13/14th of August in Kuressaare (Saaremaa) during the Conference dedicated for celebration of 110 years since the start of nature conservation in Estonia (three walks lead by Rauno Kalda, Oliver Kalda, Karl Tamkivi and Kaja Lotman); 14/15th of August in Kuressaare (lead by Rauno Kalda), Pärnu (lead by Maris Pärn) and at the time of Arvamusfestival in Paide (lead by Lauri Lutsar), all for celebration of Nature Day in Estonia that is 15th of August 2020; 25/26th of August in Tallinn Zoo (lead by Rauno and Oliver Kalda) and in Haapsalu (lead by Matti Masing), for celebration of International Bat Night. All described bat walks are dedicated for celebration of bats as the animal of the year 2020 in Estonia, for 110 year since the start of nature conservation in Estonia, for International Bat Night in August and for Nature Day in Estonia on the 15th of August.
