The Night of Bats in Pieniny
The National park Pieniny in cooperation with the Society for the Protection of Bats in Slovakia held for the 8th time the International Bat Night in Pieniny, in the courtyard of the Museum Červený Kláštor, on 10 August 2019.
Bat discussion by chiropterologist RNDr. Fulin was visited by 70 people. In addition to the lecture, a demonstration of catching a bat into the net was prepared. The visitors got closer to the farrier (Rhinolophus hipposideros) living in the cellar of the museum, and thanks to the bat detectors they also heard the bat communication. A creative workshop was prepared for children.
