Our event is part of the project: Bats in the Urban Environment (in Romanian: Liliecii din Mediul Urban), organised by Wildereness Research and Conservation NGO in collaboration with Văcăreşti Natural Park, Bucharest, Romania. During this night, we will invite people to take part in a bat ultrasound workshop. Before dusk, we will make a power point presentation in a special organised tent within the Văcăreşti Natural Park, an urban natural protected area in Bucharest. Participants will be familiarised with the concept of echolocation and ultrasound recording and identification. They will recieve flyers with bat ultrasound examples. A simple test will be given at the end of the presentation. Those who perform well will recieve posters as a prize. The night will continue with a walk in the Natural Park, observing bats via ultrasounds and lights. Part of the posters will be sent to various institutions that can help in bat conservation within the urban environment.
