A family event on July 12th 14.00 - 15.30 to meet East Dorset Bat Rescue & Rehabilitation's live bats and to learn about the bats of the river Allen with Beatrice Dopita from The River Allen Bat Roost.
This is the opening event for Walford Mill's summer exhibition "In the Dead of the Night". 

Monday 25th August 10.30 - 16.00 Animal Tales Family Fun Day, with a bat walk at 21.00.
This is The River Allen Bat Roost's event to celebrate International Bat Night, meet East Dorset Bat Rescue & Rehabilitation's live bats, "Bats of the River Allen" photographic exhibition, Bat sounds & sonograms, story teller, bat crafts, learn about the creatures of the night - join us to celebrate bats with their many friends in this beautiful part of Dorset. The bat walk will start from the car park by Walford Mill at 21.00 and will follow the river path to the heart of The River Allen Bat Roost's territory in Waitrose's Willow Walk park where there are now 32 bat boxes. Expect to see: Daubenton's bats, Soprano Pipistrelles, Common Pipistrelles and occasional Noctules.
