29th Meeting of the Advisory Committee
The 29th Meeting of the Advisory Committee (AC29) to the Agreement on the Conservation of Populations of European Bats (EUROBATS) took place from 4–6 November 2025 in Bonn, Germany.
The AC29 provided an important opportunity for the EUROBATS scientific focal points, experts, and convenors of Intersessional Working Groups to deliberate on key issues relating to bat conservation which are relevant for the preparation of the 10th Session of the Meeting of the Parties (MoP10), taking place in Malta in 2026.
Participants had the chance to exchange expertise, discuss progress achieved since the last Advisory Committee meeting, and work on the finalisation of the draft guidance documents and resolutions for MoP10. While the Advisory Committee is composed of appointed representatives, the meeting was not of a closed nature and observers who could make a relevant contribution to the discussions were welcome to attend.
The AC29 was kindly hosted by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety.
